Beaumaris Singers is delighted to celebrate its 15th anniversary by making a third appearance in Great Witley Church. Based in Newport, Shropshire, the choir of 40 voices continues to be directed by its enthusiastic and charismatic founder, Keith Orrell, singing both 'a cappella' music and major works with orchestra from an extensive repertoire spanning five centuries.

Keith Orrell initially studied choral conducting with the late Simon Johnson and piano under Martin Roscoe. Formerly a school teacher, he presently works freelance as a conductor, choral trainer, choral workshop leader, baritone soloist, and organist at Shrewsbury RC Cathedral. He has conducted several choral societies and choirs including the Halle Choir with whom he was Chorus Master for nearly seven years. He has also deputised at rehearsals for the BBC Symphony Chorus, the RSNO in Scotland & the Huddersfield Choral Society, and currently trains the Staffordshire Youth Choir.

Britain's finest Baroque Church.  St. Michael and All Angels Church, Great Witley,  A443 Worcester - Tenbury Wells road, 10 miles north-west of Worcester.    As the parish church for the villages of Great Witley and Little Witley  it is used regularly for services and concerts. The church is open to visitors daily. The church, now almost fully restored, displays a splendour which is unique amongst country churches in Britain, with exquisite gilded decorations throughout, numerous paintings by Antonio Bellucci, ten painted glass windows depicting scenes from the New Testament, highly decorative carving and a large monument by Rysbrack. It also has a fine organ, its case being from the instrument on which Handel played.   Many musicians consider its acoustics for music to be as fine as any building of its size outside London
