Received by e-mail, 27 March 2004:

...In light of all the recent debate and exposure of the  'Passion'  movie ( Concentrating upon the Savior's suffering and sacrifice ) perhaps it is even more appropriate at this time. No credit line necessary. Certainly it does not rise to the status of great poetry, but it is sincere and timely. Since I started to email it a few days ago, I've thankfully received some   complimentary replies from  clergy members intending to utilize it  or pass it along. I am most grateful for their kind words.  Thanks and regards,   Tom E......

Sunrise Service

Not in this land alone where we abide
But in others, too, 'cross oceans wide
In country towns, in cities great
Around the world they'll congregate
In church or hall, on hill or glen
For Sunrise Service once again
To praise the Lamb who died for man
Taking on man's sin as was His plan
He suffered pain; He bled: He died
Then arose and showed  'death' was defied
The world that day had been assured
He was, and IS,  its Savior Lord
For He arose!   Now on Easter Day
As morning light speeds night away
We praise in prayer the  Risen Son
Who, in defeating death...
Proved God  has won.

Britain's finest Baroque Church.  St. Michael and All Angels Church, Great Witley,  A443 Worcester - Tenbury Wells road, 10 miles north-west of Worcester.    As the parish church for the villages of Great Witley and Little Witley  it is used regularly for services and concerts. The church is open to visitors daily. The church, now almost fully restored, displays a splendour which is unique amongst country churches in Britain, with exquisite gilded decorations throughout, numerous paintings by Antonio Bellucci, ten painted glass windows depicting scenes from the New Testament, highly decorative carving and a large monument by Rysbrack. It also has a fine organ, its case being from the instrument on which Handel played.   Many musicians consider its acoustics for music to be as fine as any building of its size outside London
