	The first Great Witley Art & Crafts Exhibition was a great success and was enjoyed by all. It opened on the evening of Friday 29th July with a 'Sparkling Wine and Strawberries' reception where visitors were really impressed, not only by the popping corks and delicious food, but also by the quality of the artwork. The beauty of the Church was enhanced and enriched by the wide range of genres and media exhibited.

	Throughout the weekend there was a good attendance of visitors and many positive comments were received. Apart from the enjoyment of such a splendid exhibition, approximately Ł1300 was raised for the Church funds. Two of the exhibiting artists - John Instance and Di Cope - were responsible for putting in place the boarding and also hanging the pictures and it was generally agreed that they had done a superb job.
